About

In 2005 I was diagnosed with obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and social anxiety.  As I learned more and more about ocd I realized that I probably have had it most of my life.  Just over a year later doctor’s found a growth near my stomach.  It turned out to be a tumour.  The tumour was cancerous, it was a rare type of cancer called gastrointestinal stromal tumour (GIST).  They were able to remove the whole tumour in surgery and I did not have to go through other treatment.  Since these diagnoses I have many great and wonderful people that I probably not have met otherwise.  When you are allowed the chance to talk to someone and learn about their personal story you can find out just how awesome they are.  So, I have started to interview survivors and find out what their story has been so far.  Please check them out in the “stories” section of the site.
