Wideawake - Maybe Tonight, Maybe Tomorrow

Posted on Saturday 3 May 2008

hi,
so the song you are listening to right now is by the band Wideawake entitled “Maybe Tonight, Maybe Tomorrow.” Lead singer and songwriter for Wideawake, Scott Leger, wrote this song both as a coping mechanism and a tribute when he learned that one of his friends was just diagnosed with cancer. Wideawake was inspired by the LiveStrong campaign and decided to donate the song to them. What does this mean? It means that when you download the song from iTunes all of the proceeds will go to the Lance Armstrong Foundation. The following is a quote by Scott Leger on the Wideawake webiste; “We are so proud to dedicate Maybe Tonight, Maybe Tomorrow not only to my friend but also to Lance Armstrong and the millions of people affected by cancer - those we’ve lost and those who survive, fight, volunteer, support, research, raise awareness, give and inspire.” Wideawake was very generous in letting me use their song on my site. THANK YOU Wideawake :) !!!!!!!! you can visit their site at wideawake.com to learn more about them. it is such a great song and also inspiring. if you would like to download it click on the following link phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?i=155945399&id=155945397&s=143455. it is a great song for a great cause. have a good one.

cancer network

Posted on Saturday 22 March 2008

hey,
meghanhasocd has just started a cancer network for young adults. the purpose is to pair up people who have or have had similar cancer experiences. Often times it is easier to speak with someone who knows what you are going through and can understand and relate to you. The focus is on young adults as they seem to be an under served population in the cancer community. I’m looking for fighters, survivors, and caregivers so please contact me or refer me to anybody you may know. thanks so much. have a good one.

bleah

Posted on Sunday 20 January 2008

It’s already the 20th of January. Wow that went by fast. It seems like it was just the holidays. I had my check up ultrasound and xray a couple weeks ago. They said everything looks fine but I don’t have my doctor’s appointment until February. Although the scans looked fine I’ve been sick almost every day of this month. Bleah. Not good. A doctor thinks that it could be dumping syndrome. I thought that would have been over by now since my surgery was about a year and a half ago. I guess it never really goes away. So I guess I have to watch a bit more closely to what I eat again. Smaller meals again and not as much sugar. Aaaawwww man!! Hopefully that is all that it is and I’ll be feeling better again soon or at least not every day. That’s it for now. Have a good one.
